24 March 2009

The house is now quiet and still, save for the hum of the airplanes I can hear outside as they make their passes for the student jumpers to get their nite jumps in. Aiden has resisted his bedtime tonite and I let it go on for awhile but had to resort to Daddy's trick...remove an article of bedding when he decides to get out of bed...I went in and took his pillows w/o saying a word...he was smiling at me mischievously as I walked in but ,of course, not, as I walked out...
As I stood outside his door listening to him crying, I felt bad...but it's after 9pm and time for little boys to be sleeping... and it is quiet now. Hope Daddy's trick worked.

Finn and I traveled into town this morning w/ Nana to Finn's most favorite place in the world right now...the airport! He is completely besotted w/ airplanes and the airport at this moment in time...loves them! Margaret was bound for Philadelphia and home where it is much chillier than it is here! Sorry Nana!

The boys had a great time with Nana and Pop-Pop here...
Much fun was had:
on walks to school
trips into town for church and doughnuts ("if you are good!")
afternoons on the trampoline
playing in the street in front of our house w/ all the neighbor kids
hanging out w/ all of our neighbors in the late afternoons as the sun dipped down
lively dinners and dinner conversation esp. at the Mikkelsen's
a birthday cake for Pop-Pop
time at Cox field watching the Golden Knights jump in
investigating the desert and looking for treasure
hiking out at the Painted Desert Trail
having Nana at their utmost disposal for whatever they needed! :)

Lots of fun and Collin and I were very glad for the extra hands and, of course, the dates and our nite away from home! Thanks Marg!

This next few days we'll adjust to having Nana gone and Daddy too as Collin is away again...another tunnel trip to Fort Bragg...

More photos to be posted very soon! plus Aiden's first day of T-Ball starts tomorrow! Now that should be interesting!
