I didn't think I would be so slack w/ keeping up my posts on this and look here!, it's been much over a week since I wrote last! I pooh-pooh myself! This was the reason -well, one of them, that I began writing this blog...so I could just plunk down at the computer and key away our adventures and my random thoughts w/ much more ease than plunking down w/ lots of time, my pen and journal! *sigh**
Anyway...will work on this...today I am off to Marine Corps Air Station in town to go to their commissary...our refrigerator and cupboards are so bare and we have company coming tomorrow...Marg and Bob are flying in for a visit...and we must have food!
It is 630 am here and my boys are both still in slumber...the last 3 mornings they have both slept in until 7 or later which has been quite a delight for me! I get to sip my coffee and peruse the computer and wake up properly...then I'm all ready to work by the time they are up...
I think the adjustments from re-entry to Yuma Proving Grounds have been made...it's taken a little over a week but I think we are mostly back to normal here.
We had a really good time with our family and cousins in Savannah, Ga! It was like we had never been separated by these many miles!
Some of our adventures while there:
  • trips to the beach and the fun playground on Tybee Island
  • Lauren's middle school basketball games! very exciting!! love to watch that girl play!
  • watching Andrew with his gecko (umm...kind of eeuuwww for me but boys totally dug it!)
  • seeing Ava and Finn get on like a house on fire...except when they fought over 'my pretty pony' or whichever item one had that the other wanted!
  • seeing the back of Aiden's head for 45% of the stay...really this was his adventure having tv at his disposal!!
  • visiting w/ Bapa and Dottie who came to see us and break bread w/ us
  • trying to have a relaxing breakfast at Larry's w/ Bapa and Dottie and 3 little boys (Andrew came w/ us one day)
  • being able to go to the park across from Mom's house...the lush green park w/ playground!
  • herding all of above said children into clothes, shoes, coats, snacks, car to enjoy said adventures!!
  • visiting the pond near Erin's house to feed the ducks w/ the 3 smaller children
  • watching the kids have fun w/ their Guybee, wrestling and roughing up each other
  • visiting Sharon and Nathan and getting to see their twins Seamus and Madeline in action w/ our kids
  • trolling my favorite thrift shop stores again and again and again...
  • hanging out w/ Erin's awesome dog Belle and listening to her snore and snuffle on the bed at nite!
  • hanging out w/ Mom and Erin...period...even when one of us or all 3 of us were being a little toxic! still love to be with them!

We had a really good time there but were ready to come home by the time our trip was over. Aiden was starting to overload and speak in Spongebob tongue and Finn was starting to bite Ava (sorry Erin!) on her soft, doughy skin!

Our flight home was not too bad...the boys slept for the first 2 hours about w/ the help of a little something...ahem!...and were fairly content for the rest of the trip...the last hour of course was the worst and we were all feeling restless at that point. I did get several comments from other passengers though about how well they behaved on the flight. We were all relieved though to step off the plane and find Daddy waiting for us!

Well its later in the morning now and I've gotten the boys off- Aiden to school and Finn is w/ my friend Teresa today...we do child swap every so often and it works out great...I have a whole morning to myself and it's quite thrilling...ahhh yes, the idea of grocery shopping alone!! Such a thrill! I am off to it now!
